abstract = "The Cura{\c{c}}{\'a} River Valley is economically important due
to occurrences of mafic-ultramafic bodies containing cooper
sulphide mineralization. The mineralization consists of copper
sulphides with predominance of chalcopyrite and bornite. The
sulphides shows unusual characteristics, as the high percentage of
iron oxides associated, therefore the mapping of iron oxides can
help to identify new copper mineralization targets. The
integration of geophysical and remote sensing data supports a
geological knowledge by analysis of physical properties of rocks,
being used as a tool for mining exploration. Band ratio were
achieved on RapidEye imagery, allowing the recognition of iron
oxides index and has been integrated with airborne geophysical
data, as magnetometry and gamma-ray spectrometry. The integration
proved to be an adequate alternative for mapping iron oxides and
                         recognize mineralized areas.",
